Saerian Heath is designed as an expansion to the World of Aihrde as found in the Codex of Aihrde. It is system neutral, usable with any game system. It includes terrain descriptions, history and adventure hooks.

Mountains in their staggered wealth dominate the skyline, restless in their mooring, they vomit filth in the sky, plumes of ash and smoke. Around them a girdle of treeless plains; dry, arid, sun baked they offer little comfort for man or beast. These are the sun-burnt, unsettled lands of the Saerian Heath.

This is a wilderness, untamed. In the Heath no permanent dwellings lie. The dwarves found no purchase here, the goblins only in small numbers. The Aenochians left only their crypts and the Lords of Aufstrag little more. Only the elves remain. The mountains stand unconquered and the plains empty of road or path, it is a land of broad valleys and dusty, dry steppes.

The Saerian Heath is a world primordial, a hint of what Ursal was like, what all of Aihrde was like, in the Days before Days, when the Named wandered wild and free. Those who come here are few, for it is a hunter’s world, a haunt for rangers, where the unknown is the treasure worth seeking.
